Hey there hi there! Does any one know if a five pin cdi from a 50cc bike is the same as a 5 pin cdi from a 110cc bike? the picture on one of lynn e's threads is apparently of a 50 cc bike so i need to be sure as mine is 110cc.
Thanks and keep the shiny side

Is this a picture of your CDI?

Yes all 5 pin CDIs that look like the above picture are the same.

(Note that the connector plastic need not be green. White is very common.)

Yes my childs ATV Tao Tao (125D??) says 125 on the body work but it appears to be a 110 D
To answer your question your CDI is the exact same pin number and pattern as mine.

I HAVE A QUESTION i am just about to purchase the HIGH PERFORAMNCE 5 pin CDI? Is it worth doing this?? - despite it only costing $20.00. What can i expect??

(PS I guess some higher authority who supposedly did change water into wine - swooped down too and changed my 125D to a @#$% 110D)

perfomance increase cdi sprocket change modify gearing

When i read up on the High performance CDI - the benfit is not having a rev limiter, I hope this will help maintaining or inreasing the torgue for climbing hills or inclines (as it is the standard sprocket and gearing is very week to begin with) when i change the standard 14 tooth or teeth front sprocket to a 16 or 17 teeth

if you want more tq you would want a smaller front sprocket

the ata12d's stock gearing is 37R/13F = a very conservative 2.85 final drive (at least mine was). I am pretty sure the morons do this so they can advertise the unsafe top speeds that help sell these things.

so for more tq buy either a 42 rear or a 12 front (or both)
37/12=3.08
42/13=3.23
42/12=3.5

I am currently running the 42/13 combo and it is a lot better.. you still cant stop and the restart on a hill, but it will climb the hills I have tried without a problem as long as I get a start before I hit the hill. Before it would peter out half way up the hill sometimes and I would have to go push my son.. pretty lame.
