coil won't stay on Eton Viper 50

Got a 04' Eton Viper 50 but the ignition coil falls off every time she does a sharp turn. The spark plug is the type that doesn't have a 'tip' just the exposed threads. Is there a trick to help keep it on? Really don't want to spend the bucks on a new coil. Will it hurt anything if I 'crimp' the end of the coil that is supposed to snap on the spark plug?

the end you want to crimp is identical to the naked ones on a lawn mower, ain't it? hmmm....i've crimped them around a spark plug before and left it exposed. you know, no big rubber boot/cover over the spark plug. i'm curious if zip ties or something similiar would work to hold it to the frame. i don't think adhesive backed velcro would work. unsure.. all i can think of is for you to be creative and see what works for installation. does it still have a factory bolt hole left? if so, use a self tapping screw into the frame with lock washers/flat washers or just drill a hole in the frame and a long bolt and double nut the ends. just grasping at straws for you. i am so sorry i can't help on that. :o

well for some reason, i can't upload a picture. BUT, i guess i misunderstood your post. i thought the coil pack wasn't staying attached to the frame. i presume it is your coil wire that won't stay attached to the plug. i just peeled back the rubber plug boot on the coil wire and it appears that the metal connection can be crimped to fit on there tighter. hope that helps.
