Another won't start thread.
Hello all and thanks in advance for any and or all help given. I have searched and read many posts, but really didn't find any that helped me.
07 Buyang Alta FA-C70 The four-wheeler with turn over and sounds like it tries to catch. Once in a blue moon it will start. Forgot to add it has the five pin square cdi box. 1. Replaced coil and cdi box. 2. Has spark 3. Compression around 75, is that good enough? I added oil to the cylinder with very little compression change. 4. Cleaned carb and is getting fuel to plug. 5. Plug seems fine, but no store around me have any in stock to double check. The only thing left I can think of is adjust the valves, but thought I would ask you guys/gals before I got into that. Thanks. |
upgrade to the NGK equivalent. O'Reilly's or other parts store can cross reference the numbers and get you fixed up. 75 psig sounds pretty low. you may adjust the valves and see if that helps. did you try to start it up on ether/starting fluid? crank it and give it a small conservative shot and see if she'll take off.
IMHO, that just my two cents. :o |

IMHO, that just my two cents. :o I knew I forgot to put stuff in. It has a NGK plug in it and I have tried using starter fluid with the same results, meaning nothing. I find it odd that it will crank out of no where. Thanks again. I just went out and it started three times in a row. I let it sit and came back and back to no start. Craziness I tell you. |
Sounds like the intake valve is to tight and not closing all of the way. It is easy to adjust give it a try
