Gas, Spark, but Won't Start
I have a 2010 BMS Crossover 125 that I took to the carwash. It was hard to start after washing I rode it for a bit and it died when I stopped. Came out the next day and it won't start at all. Put in a new battery, new spark plug, cleaned carb, adjusted valves and nothing. It's getting spark, turns over but doesn't come close to starting. Checked the rear tether I've got spark when when it's plugged in, no spark when it's unplugged. When the kill swith on the handle bars is on I still get spark, is this normal? I don't know what else to try to get this thing to start. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone runs into the same problem I unplugged the cdi box sprayed the connections with contact cleaner plugged it back in and it fired right up. We blew it out with compressed air last night and it did nothing. Who would of thought something so simple?

sorry i didn't see this post earlier. one thing to do that is very proactive is to use dilectric grease on your quick connects. that'll help keep water out of the connections. glad you got it running.

I never use pressure water to wash an atv or motorcycle..Sometimes high pressure will force water under seals and joints..

i wash mine with a garden hose from the outside spigot at home. NEVER with a pressure washer. if it rain on the quad or the splashing the quad does it water is light pressure, then guess what, use low pressure water to rinse it off. i rinse for storage and repair. that's it. my quads don't get cleaned just to be seen clean. 2 times they're clean: for storage, for repair. that's it. see ya.,
