you blew the fuse replace it turn the key on kill switch on depress brake try to start that is if there's 12+ volts in the battery

Markus1005 04-04-2014 09:13 PM

The fuse doesn't look blown though

Markus1005 04-04-2014 09:13 PM

If the fuse was blown the lights or horn wouldn't work correct ?

Ig I need to be more specific.. I got the quad for free it had no battery in it and hadn't been turned over in months. I take a battery out of my other quad and put it in the kazuma. I turn the key on the headlights work and the brake lights come on and the horn beeps. But when I go to push the start button it doesn't do anything. The silonoid don't click or anything. So next I proceed to short the silonoid just to see if it turns over. When I do that the lights go out and everything I check the fuse it is fine. So I unhook the wires from the battery and reconnect them and the lights come back on I've Tryed pressin on the brakes and everything hope this is clearer

OK I assume you have 12+V in your other battery, turn key on kill switch on depress brake switch push start. If then nothing happens get yourself a test light and see where your problem lies BTW how are you shorting your soleniod ?

Markus1005 04-05-2014 08:32 AM

Using a screw driver to connect the 2 big wires together I'm gonna start back on it around noon I'll let you know how it goes thanks for your help

OK
If you do what I posted and nothing happens here is what I would do
1 check the teather plug (usually under seat on frame left hand side) if its OK
2 get a test light hook it to ground put probe on small solenoid wire push button A-( light), bad solenoid or starter B-(no light) go to brake switch repeat all the way back to the start button I am pretty sure you will find your problem. BTW pull the spark plug it will turn over easier for testing purposes.
