Baja Wilderness 250 - oil leak / won't start

I was riding my Wilderness 250 - stopped to do something - got back on - and could not get into neutral.

I noticed oil leaking out in a steady flow on the left side of the atv - by the clutch. I had quite a puddle of oil on the dirt.

I had to push it back home.

Upon further investigation - I believe the issue is the "neutral Switch is broken" (which is a wire that attaches to a spot where oil comes out). Would anyone agree/disagree? Is the fix straight forward?

Looks a lot like a broken plunger switch. I would have expected the gears to still work though, so maybe the plunger part has shot out and jammed something. Only way is to get a new switch, and see what the old one looks like when you unscrew it.

Ya i would say your on the right track.. Take a light and shine it in the hole after you remove make sure no pcs are in their as well as pull that big plug out beside it and see what you can see.

Thank you for the replies. I'll take the advice and report back what I find.

BTW, does anyone have a photo of what this area on the bike should look like? It may help me compare...or what I should be looking for.

Really appreciate the help!!
