Default TaoTao - reversed battery - now what

Son replaced battery in tao tao db10 - heard small electcrical sound when hit starter - now absolutely nothing. Wasnt sure if there was a inline fuse somewhere, if i should trash it (its like 50hrs on it) or start buying all sorts of electrical parts online....any help from the forum is greatly appreciated by the 10yr old.

I think there will be a fuse but it should have blown when you switched on, not when you tried the starter if you had the battery hooked up backwards. You may have blown the voltage regulator but with luck it will just need a fuse. It will be somewhere between the battery positive and the ignition switch. Usually a red wire on Chinese Quads.
