Baja 150 won't crank

Hi,

I am trying to fix a Baja 150 quad for a friend that will not start correctly. It will start if the solenoid is jumped. I have found a bad spot in the safety switch wires coming from the hand brake while doing an ohm test I had no conductivity through the wires no matter if the brake was pressed or not until I held the brake down and wiggled the wires the it would sometimes show conductivity. I jumped the wires together but the quad wouldn't start. I started checking out the ignition switch and found that if I jumped power to the black wire on the back of the switch the brake light would work and the start button will then start the quad. I figured it was a bad ignition switch and purchased a new one installed it, but still no brake light and won't crank. Could someone give me some insight.

Nevermind I must have popped the fuse by the battery at some point the new switch fixed it.
