Hello I recently brought a trx 500 atv and it was locked up so I put a wrench on where the pull start goes and it started to unlock but every 5 spins it locks back up again but if you spin it the opposite way and then back the original way it frees up why is this please help it’s a trx 500 foreman 2004

However, could be anything. If it feels like the cylinder has been seized, take the head off. Or it could be a mangled alternator jamming up, I have had this when starter clutch screws came undone. Or something jamming between two gears and un-jamming when backed off.
