I have a Protrax Rhino 250d, almost the same as a Kazuma hunter. Same engine etc. The electric systems are a bit different though. But for the coils, I would guess it's the same.

I just bought it for cheap, since it's having a coil issue where it burns the wires when the ignition is turned on. I have ordered new coils, but the wires from the old coils are missing. So I need a wiring diagram or someone who knows something about electric systems on 2-cylinder engines.

I have also tried finding a new wiring harness, but I can't find one that includes two coils in (making it usable for a 2 cylinder engine).

I hope someone can help me, and thank you in advance!



It only has the wires to one of the coils the other part is missing.

Are you meaning a Honda nighthawk clone? If so Honda made that engine for a long time and used several different ways of firing it. I seem to recall one coil with two HT leads from it, two coils with the non earthed wire from each, going to a single pin on the CDI, and CDIs with one pin for each coil. I have worked on an RAM Quadzilla 250 with the Nighthawk engine and it had two coils fed from a single CDI pin. Slightly oddly, the pinout was non standard, so normal Chinese 6 pin CDIs wouldn't work.

Sorry, but unless someone on here has an identical quad, or you can find a supplier of genuine Protrax Rhino parts I suspect you will struggle.

I found an cdi with 2 pins for 2 cylinders, that should work. Found someone who has 2 of the same quads, who linked me to it.

Wil update if I get it to work or not.
