***** Yamaha Kokiak 450 - What color? *****

What color Yamaha did you purchase? Happy with the color? would you suggest a certain color over another? How a about resale value....relates to color of the ATV? Since I like to hunt, I was leaning towards Biege, but haven't been able to see this color in person?

My Yamaha was blue and my Recon is olive green. I would recommend the green for hunting. But, I guess it depends on where you're going to hunt. (green woods, tan fields, etc.) I've covered the warning stickers with camo tape. I was afraid that someone would see the white of the stickers and shoot thinking that it was a deer tail. Some people will shoot at anything.

I purchased the green one. It blends in very well with Missouri spring foliage. It might stick out a little more in the fall unless you park it between some cedars.
I tried to purchase a Realtree camo unit, but there was only 3 available in the Missouri/Arkansas area and they all wanted MSRP. It wasn't worth $6400 to me. I found out that the camo units are only produced on limited runs during the fall, or at least that's what I was told.
One thing about the green Yamaha is that it shows every little blimish. Rubbing the plastic with a rubber hunting boot leaves a mark. I had my Honda Rancher for 3 years and the plastic looked better than the Yamaha after a few outings.

I hear if you get the camo it dosen't show the scratches as much but you hav to dish out another 3-400.? But if I had to get one, green hide it in the pine trees when you hunt in the winter

If you're at all worried about the plastic showing scratches spend the extra money on the camo. My wife can come back from a ride and her camo 400 doesn't even look dirty but my red 450 shows every scratch and spot of mud.
