Default Sputters When I Wheelie

My DS when I pop a wheelie right out of first hesistates and then acts like it's not revved up enough. I also have troubles going up hills. I dropped back from 3rd to 2nd clip and it helped but still bogs when wheeling. The valves are fine (.005). The floats seem ok. I have noticed some gas coming out by the radiator every once in a while. It must be an overflow from the gas tank. The threads mentioned a similar problem but there never was a solution. Help would be greatly appreciated. I also notice a hesitation when I nail the throttle from a dead stop. After the hesitation it runs great right to red line. Main jet is a DYNO Jet 185 with the above clip setting. UNI filter in the air box.

Hrm. I've never heard of a hesitation with the BSR 42...

Something's obviously wrong, but I'm not the one to help you (since I can't help myself).

Good luck with that tho

make sure your carb screw is turned out, especially if you've opened the exhaust or put on a header.

From what I've read and used 2.5-3.0 turns from bottom seems to be a sweet spot.

I would get some carb cleaner and go thru every circuit and flush it out, particularly the idle circuit and pilot you may have a bit of varnish or debris that is restricting flow from idle to 1/4 or where ever. Something isn't quite right , those stock carbs are usually very reliable and quite responsive. Once it's running correctly you should be able to just blip the the throttle( to about 1/4) and have it stand straight up on the street.
Bogging is usually a float bowl issue. Try lowering the clip on the needle one or two more positions and see if that helps. Is you bike still under warranty?
