Default Good Quad for 10+11 yr old? Things to consider?

I am looking to get my kids set up in a quad that is not only dependable but not too small. I want something that they can grow into but also something they can handle. I would like to be able to get on it myself but it will be mostly for the kids. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.

you could consider the breeze or even a 250ex. my daughter is 9 and rides my wifes 250ex in sand. and she learned on a breeze when she was 7. but first she had to be perfect on her power wheels. sounds funny but the power wheels taught her alot.

I'd also recommend the 250ex or that new Suzuki 250. I'd also recommend getting something for yourself so you can actually ride WITH your kids to supervise them (and to enjoy the company). I got my kids the 90cc a month before I got my Arctic Cat and only let them ride where I could see them. They tire of that pretty quick, though.

The kids are girls and they are very athletic, soccer, volleyball, horseback, no sissys but still girls. They are on the more petit size for their age but are growing. Thanks for any input you have.

Being athletic helps. The best riders, in my opinion, are the ones who know that ATV riding requires your butt to leave the seat on occasion (and the harder you ride, the more it leaves). My wife, who comes from an agressive bicylcing background is always amazed at how much ATV riding can take out of you.

Take your daughters to a dealer, have them sit on a few quads. Look to see if their hands reach the all the controls properly. Make sure they can OPERATE the controls, being able to reach the brake is useless if it's too hard to pull. Have them stand on the pegs and see if there is enough room between them and the seat (should be at least 3"). They need to have enough room to move on the thing, shifting their body weight to control the machine's balance. Proper fit is very important, you don't want them struggling to find the brake in an emergency or flipping because they can't lean enough. Note that the dealer cannot sell you a quad over 90cc for your girls if they know you're buying it for the kids so you may need to be browsing for one for yourself while you look. Keep your girls on a smaller machine. Stay with a 90 or so. Physically the biggest machine out there is a Dinli Diamondback. It has lots of power and rear disc brakes.(hydralic) The DRR 90 is the lowest seat wise of them all and is the fastest in stock form. The STR and the Kasea have a foot brake. The DRR GT90 is a 4 stroke machine. It is electric start but is not as powerful as the 2 stroke conterparts. Go look at some and see wha tmachines the girls like. Take down the names and get back with me. I can better tell you what to think about if I have machines to compare for you.

A Breeze? Sorry, but No.
