Default cam change

Is there any advantage to swapping out the cam only with no other mods? The reason I ask is because I broke the tip off mine where the sprocket centers onto. Don't ask me how because I have no clue! Anyway, with a stock engine, do I go with a performance cam or stock cam?
This is for the bike listed below.

Thanks
Scott

Default cam change

Hey bud.....welcome too the forums!
I notice you don't have an aftermarket exhaust.....so I would not recommend a stronger cam. The larger cam needs more breathing potential too maximize it's realized results. You would probably loose a little low end power with a larger cam and not realize the benefits on top end...being so restricted.
The stock engine is bulletproof......anything that stresses the engine more lessens the degree of reliability (just a side note bro!).
