Default What are the advantages of being wider ??

Why would i want to extend my axle, and get longer a-arms on my banshee, like everyone keeps telling me to do.... My only fear on my bikes is, WHen ever I take a turn and give a little gas, it ALWAYS swings way out too far, and I always get the feeling like I should put my foot down or i'll flip, will going wider make me more stable ?? Thanks !!

Yes. Widening it will give it more stability.

Will it help protect me from sliding too far, and flipping over ??
I just hate turning and giving a little gas and always having the bike swing out too far.... I'm using stock style tires on both of my banshees, it was my 96 that put me in the hospital this time.... I'm more worried about safety than anything else right now, I'm sitting here with stiches and a leg brace because I went out too far and instinctly put my foot down and was run over.... I'm going wednesday for Nerf bars, good riding boots, and now considering an axle, and a-arms, i've got the money, and more worried about safety than anything else....
