Alright guys i was wondering what you guys recommend. I like both but i think i would be more suited for the z. But i like the raptor but im worried it would be harder to handle on tight wooded trails.What do you guys think?

 

I ride KFX!

 

For tight wooded trails, go for the KFX/Z400 (or even a 400ex if you can get it for a low enough price)

 

If your going in trails i recomend z400

 

I ride trails most all of the time and I have no problem handling them with my raptor... I am 6'1" 185 lbs

 

The raptor isn't as bad on trails as some people try to make you think, it's actually good in my opinion and it has reverse. Although I'd still go with the z400 or kfx because they are super super easy and a littler easier on the wallet but i'd wait and see if they correct the frame problem some people have reported on the new models, which should be out soon. The 400ex is also a really good choice but not as good as the raptor or z because of no reverse and they are pretty ordinary.

 

i would get a raptor over them both. a raptor wouldnt be a hand ful in the woods seeing how they have a smooth powerband and a tight turning radius .

 

I like a raptor too but it's turning radiance isn't as good as a z400 or definitly not a 400ex.

 

Ya ive ridden one before and know the turning radius, but dont get me wrong, a 2 and polaris are great quads

 

z-400 has a lot less problems then raptor.
I love the way mine handles over my buddies raptor.
raptor has more pull through the gears, z is more mid range to top end.
When stock raptor gets z on top end, good race through 3rd or 4th gear.
when piped raptor smokes z on top end, good race through 4th gear.
