airbox drain plug fell outand the cat drowend
#1
i swamped my cat on saterday and apon ferther investagation i found that the drain plug on the bottem of the airboxwas missing. [ its a one way valve that lets water out but not in] i talked to my dealers macanic today and he said that they fall out quit often. well aproxamitly a two months ago thay replaced the airbox and the new one dident come with this gromit so i asked the macanic if he took the one off my old airbox and put it on the new one and he said yes he did but it probly fell out. so heres my question has anybody else experenced this with your quads and if so let me know how you found out about yours and if not maybe you should check out you quad and see if yours is still there. its located on the bottem of the airbox if you cant see it feel the bottem of the box for a hole where its suposed to be.and if its not there dont go near the water mtill you get a new one. i silaconed my new one in and i hope it dont happen again. i've changed my oil 5 times so far and its still a little milky. i also found water in the front diff but there was none in the rear diff. this little mishap has cost me close to one hundred and fifty dollers so far plus a whole day of farking around an expencive lesson i just hope it dident hert the moter it seems fine idleing but i havent road it yet.
