Hey YamahaFlyer,
I had forgotten that you mentioned you were voluteering or I would've asked if YamahaFlyer rung a bell with anyone at each of the check points.
We actually passed through your check point just as it started to rain. I was riding in my T-shirt and my girlfriend had already stopped and put on her rainjacket because she was cold. When we shot across the road we stopped to put on all our rain gear. We stayed dry for the most part, but the crotch of both our rain pants leaked (gotta love the low quality of Wal-Mart rain wear). The ride was great, the rain made some nice sloppy trail riding. Although, reality set in today, my legs are like jell-o and my girlfriend is sore from the waist up. The trail was like 1/2 mile of technical riding and 18 miles of whoops. Anyway, we had a good time. I know you will too on the next one.

I do remember you both. We were all huddled under the canopy while you guys were suiting up. It was sure nice at the end when the sun came out! Unfortunately we had to take off right after the run finished and weren't able to stay around for the prize presentation. Did you win anything? If you are looking for more local CO riders to ride with, go to atvnation.com and look in the RockyMountain Rock Hoppers forum. There are a lot of good people (self included) who are always looking for people to ride with.

Sorry I missed it. I gotta show up at one of those Quadrunners' events someday!
I haven't been riding since we came back from Moab in May, and discovered that my trailer axles on my camper were bent.
Just got it out of the shop Friday, and getting ready to roll outta here Tuesday to go back east for 40 days. Along the way, we plan to ride at Windrock in Tenn. and make it to the big ride at Park Falls, WI in July. We'll be back in time for the Fairplay Burro Days - and be REAL tempted to make a run up Tincup Pass and/or Wheeler Lake while we are in the area.

Hey Prospector,
There will be another Poker Run in September so hopefully you will be able to ride in that one, it really was a great time. Sounds like you are going on a Religious ATV Mecca of sorts! Have fun in the East.

1fast03z,
We are always looking for people to ride with in Colorado! Are you new to the area? If you go to www.atvnation.com in their forums and look in the Quadfather's Clubhouse under Rocky Mountain Rock Hoppers you will find many people who ride in the front range area, including myself. What kind of riding do you like to do? I can suggest many areas from tracks to fast trails to verticle rock crawling. There is a good guy in there, mrtazco, that is always looking to ride, probably would be a good match for you since he has a Predator. A lot of the people in this area ride utilities and enjoy rock crawling but I personally like to open it up a bit. I almost bought an '03 Loaded Limited Edition Raptor with three hours on it yesterday. The Wolverine that I have is a great trail bike and can take some good sized jumps but lately I have been writing checks that only a true sport bike would be able to cash.
Nice pics by the way, good air!
