Default Mudlite versus 589s--which better

Trying to decide between ITP589 or Mudlites on 27s. Anyone had any experience with them both? Also, I noticed that both Titan and ITP make a tire called 589. They look the same. Are they?

i have a setof the itp589m/s tires and i like them alot lots of traction they will get you out of some pretty nasty stuff but can get you stuck like any tire . i've heard nothin but good things about the mudlites so i dont think you could go wrong either way

go with the mudlites. i've seen catcrazy's in action. made me think hard about my outlaws. the 589's are much heavier than their worth. my next set will likely be the mudlites.

Thanks for the info Guys. I bought a set of mudlites yesterday. Went with the 26 inch. Not alot of mudding here and didnt want to loose the lowend for rock crawling and pulling. 25 woul dhave been okay in fact but you need 26 to get the agressive tread. I have been reading this forum for ahile now and I notice that most of the real serious guys have the manual tranny. Is that by choice or just a coincidence that you guys all bought manuals. I got on because of pulling and reliability. I had a sportsman 500 (read: smoking belt, slipping belt, breaking belt, changing belt) and didnt want to go through all that again. Auto is nice for fooling around on trials but not great for serious work (I found anyways)

Is that the same with you all?

I'll post some pics tonight to give you an idea what quading is like up here and why I wanted a manual tranny.

Id say the mudders all go with manual to eliminate water entering the housing. I can tell you the manual has more power and the 1st gear engine braking is superior.
