A pipe and clutch kit make HUGE differences with these machines. You will not believe that it is the same bike. Just stick with the main Polaris aftermarket suppliers, RCR, HSP, HPD or AAEN.
As for the oil injection, well I myself like it and wouldn't remove it, Others on here say get rid of it as soon as possible, It really comes down to personal preference. Some of the earlier models were prone to failure but I think thing have came along way. As for the Mods that you plan using, It shouldn't make any difference either way you go (to inject or to pre-mix).

I purchased the hot seat speed kit,,with the header pipe and silencer,,,first it comes with an adjustable flange that doesnt fit the bike,,So i had to use the stock flange,,then with everything installed the bike didint have the take off,,it missed when you hit the throttle,,barely even pulll the front end up..so my mechanic used the stock pipe and silencer combo,,what do you guys think the prolem is,,,,,

I replaced mine with a hot seat block off kit because the cable was broken and frozen in the oil injector housing. I bought it used but i would have loved to keep it. It was so much easier. YOu can just pull up to the gas pump and not worry about mixing.

Snowmobiles have been running injection for decades (Yammy started in the early 70s). Failures are VERY rare and I, personally, have never heard of anyone that had one fail. The only problems I've ever seen are pumps sticking OPEN and pumping in too much oil (smoky, but certainly not harmful.) And I live in the heart of snowmobile country and have been riding for 30 years and so have most of my friends. Oil injection is proven, reliable technology.
