I am going to have my 400 ported i alrady have a trail pipe clutch kit and 39pwk carb. How does race porting perform with a trail pipe? should i just get trail porting instead? which will give me more power with my setup? i am alos plannign on getting reeds billet head bored one size and new piston if that makes any difference.

 

I am not positive about this, but I think for race porting you need all the other goodies to benefit from it, so trail porting would be the way to go in your case.

 

Race porting with a trail pipe will not work like a race pipe with trail porting. You do need all the other goodies to benefit from it. There is a HUGE difference in trail and race porting. Who's going to port it for you?

Use Bubba whos post is above. He just did a mild trail port for me for low end and the difference is amazing. I also went with his clutching suggestions and they also are great. His price for porting is probably the best you will find and his turnaround is really quick. PM him for more information and his prices.

Bubba 297 how much do you charge for a trail port n polish on a 2002 scram 400 with hsp speed kit + billet premium head.??? I shoul have just gone with the exterminator kit in the first place. oh and how long does it take ??
