Default 3 things I think the V-Force needs

I came to a conclusion that the V-Force needs three things. 1) Stronger tie-rods. I bent mine on the first lap of a GNCC race. I know some say Kawi made them this way so nothing more expensive would break. But you don't hear of any other stock tie rods bending, and those atv's are racing the same race, and there not breaking anything else. At least make them as stong as the other makes. 2) A front bumper that covers the radiator, and stonger brackets. In my race, I just bump into a guy, and didn't think much about it, untill after the race. The black piece in front of the radiator was cracked, the radiator was shifted, and the front bumper was bent. If I hit the guy any harder, I would have taken out my radiator. I did all of this in the dark tunnel, in which I was only going about 2mph. For those that were there, know what I mean. The two little brackets on the side bent way to easy. Most other atv's front bracket is part of the frame, the 700 is held on by two 1" square tubing welded to the frame. Not much support there. Thats why I'm going with AC bumper, they put in a extra arms on each side to give the bumper more support. It didn't look like Pro Armor did this. It looks like they use the same brackets as stock. Again, not very strong. 3)The suspension. Right now, the 700 has more power then what the suspension can handle. You can have all the power in the world, but if you don't have the suspension to tame it, it won't do you much good. That's why my first major mod is new shocks all the way around. Other then these three things, the 700 to me has been the best atv that I have owned. I'm having way too much fun on this atv. I've allready fixed the first item, and both the 2nd and 3rd hopefully will be here by next week. Again, these are my thoughts.

I agree on all 3 items, in that order. I can't wait to get the Elka's for mine, I should have the cash next week for that, and the week after that I'm going for duals, I hope BigGun has something out by then. Currently, mine needs more than a front bumper, I also need some new plastic mounts.I also ordered Trailtech bars, clamp and computer for mine. Computer is still on back-order last I heard.

The AC and IMS bumpers look like they cover the radiator well and will enable you to remove the black guard. That should help the look of the 700 also.

I believe on the three things also, though #2 i never have thought of. Probably because i wasnt in that tunnel of heck you were in. Personally i think that the things that are bad about the V are relatively small for a first year machine, hay its not like are chassi is cracking or are tranny is failing. One of the first things i will get for my V will be a pipe, then i will get some elka boingers.

I learned from my baja bug days to just keep an extra set of STOCK tie rods. If you go with the heavy duty style you will break your wrist or some other major steering component on the bike. I do agree with the front bumper. I have a PRM summit and it offers great radiator protection. The other thing I would suggest is a set of nerf bars. I am always worried about putting my foot down since I ride motorcycles 95% of the time.

I rode a v-forcew with Elka's this weekend and it is a great addition to the quad. Th @$$ end stays down on the whoops! I just did not like how low it stood. It was dropped 3 inches.
