Default checking raptor oil

What is the proper way to check the oil in a raptor? Is the oil tank suppose to be filled when the quad has been sitting for a long period of time, like over night? When I say filled I man filled in the tank not filled on the dipstick! Is that too much oil?

Proper level is the oil should be in the middle of the "low" and "high" marks on the dipstick. I always screw the dipstick in to check the level, but some guys just put the dipstick in without screwing it on to check. Both ways work, as long as there's oil on the stick....

should the oil be checked when the quad is cold? In the manual it say to warm it up then let it sit for a couple minutes for the oil to settle, then check it. But I get a different reading everytime I do that. It seems I get the most consistent reading when it's cold (when it's been sitting all night)

The manual also says not to ride the Rappy at dangerous speeds on rough terrain!!!!
Screw it in?....don't screw it in??.....when it comes down to it, if theres oil on the dipstick, theres enough in the quad. Having the oil off a fraction of an inch isn't going to affect the way the Rappy performs. Thats why there's a "low oil light". I'm not saying I run my oil low, but if I check it out on a trail and the oil isn't exactly where the manual says it should be, I'm not going to push it back to camp!! Thats like saying if the coolant isn't at the exact mark the manual recommends..the engines gonna overheat and blow up. Chances are...not likely...but I guess its the owners choice!!!

If you fill up the oil and screw the stick in...it'll show full...if you don't screw it in...it'll be in the middle of the "zone"....does it REALLY make a difference?...Am I wrong or just missing a point somewhere???

phyco is right...i let my "rapy" run then i let it sit for a wile...like an hour. Then i cheak it and i get the best reading. Also, another way to go is drain the oil and put new oil in. Only put in what it saids to put in...u understand. I am very bad with words.
