Raptor Ignition problems...

Lost spark on my 2001 Raptor.
I didn't properly tighten down the CDI box all the way and it had some play in it and can see marks where it was hitting the back of the battery. I'm under the impression CDI's don't fail very often but I think in my case it was because it was loose and smashing into the back of the battery.
Trying to follow the service manual procedure to make 100% sure it isn't the coil or something else. Already tried a couple new plugs and no effect.
Can someone tell me the proper way to remove the Spark Plug Wire from the CAP?
I have already removed the screw from the inside, spring, and resistor but have no idea how to get the wire out and don't want to force or break anything.
If I remove the red wire connecting to the coil and touch/remove a 12V feed it will show signs of spark. Would this be a safe indication that my coil is fine?
Meter reading from Primary Coil appears within Range but I'm having trouble testing secondary since I can't seem to remove the CAP/Wire.
Thanks,
Jason

I have not looked at the set up on the Rappy yet, but I know on alot of plug/ cap set ups you can push the cap up over the wire to get to the wire. May work to get the reading you need. Not sure if this will help at all, but at least will bumb to top so someone that know may see it....

Check the crank trigger signal by connecting the positive lead of the multimeter to the red wire that was on the coil and hit the starter. The meter should deflect every revolution of the engine.Have you hooked up a plug to the coil and touched the positive terminal with a live feed to see if the plug fires? One of those two tests should point you in the right direction. I'm assuming that everything else is acting normal (indicator lights, headlights, turn signals, horn, etc.). High voltage transformers can be tough sometimes, they show the correct resistance with a meter but won't crank out a high voltage signal because something is shorting over as the voltage climbs. I think the Raptor coil looks a little flimsy anyhow, let us know if you fix it faster.
