In the latest Dirt Wheels, they have an article comparing the Predator with the Gas Gas 450. They describe that one of their racing Predators completely lost 4th gear during some sort of long distance race. I wonder if this will become a common problem among Predator owners the way it is with 2001 Raptor owners.

That sucks, but 4th gear seems to be the one mentioned the times I have heard issues. I hope they do not have the same issues us 01 Raptor owners have had to deal with. I am curious if polaris will step up unlike Yamaha!

uh oh, not lookin too good for the predator...and its been around 6 months too heh. Well, i feel bad for the good guys that bought predators, but im happy for all the guys that make fun of the raptor and says its crappy because of its 01 probs and polaris has been "tested for 3 years" i too am curious to see what polaris to do if this is a trend.

Maybe if the manufactures let us test them before they released them than maybe the failures could be resolved before release.

man, they just dont make em like they used to. 250r trannies never break, and you can crank 150 horses out of a banshee tranny and they hold just fine. Seems like the companies are skimping on their production costs

Dabeech- 4stroke trannies are breaking because they have so much more power than them little pinging 2strokes.
