HEY IM 14 AND IM THINKING OF GETTING THE DS 90 WHICHI IS THE YOUTH VERSION OF THE DS650 I WOULD LIKE SOME FEED BACK ON ANY ONE WHO OWNS A DS 90 OR KNOWS ABOUT THEM I NEED EVERY THING POWER, SPEED, HOW IT HANDLES ITSELF, WHEIGTH IT CAN HOLD, WHAT IS A GOOD HEIGHT FOR IT. IF U GUYS HAVE ANY THING ABOUT IT PLEASE TELL ME. IT LOOKS PRETTY GOOD. IM AM 5'3 120LBS AND I AM WONDERING IF I WOULD FIT ALL RIGHT IN IT. I ALSO REALLY NEED ITS MAX SPEED. ALSO IF U KNWO OF ANY USED OR NEW YOUTH ATVS THAT ARE PRETTY CHEAP AND WORK WELL TELL ME.

 

why would you get a 90. i would say to get at least a 250ex or the suzuki 250. your to big for a 90.

 

I agree, 250EX, 300ex, z250, blaster, something along those lines are more adaquate for your age and wieght. You may have to get an adult to act like they are buying it for themselves though. Many times dealers won't sell a kid under 16 anything above 90cc, which is a total joke IMO.

 

I'm gonna have to agree that you might be just a bit to big for a 90 but then again my sons racing partner ( girl ) is 5'1" 123 and they both ride Ds 90's and are at this time first and second in the point's standing's in the Flat-Track series here. After minor and pretty much cheap modifications they are hitting 50mph and better!

I dont want a quad to race i want it just for pleasure riding. I would appreciate if u gave me some good quads that are pretty cheap and good for just riding even if the max speed is about 40. I am also a starter but thats not a problem i can get a pretty advanced quad. So pleaz keep responding Thanxs!!!11

 

Hey I have decided that im going to get a Blaster ive looked at used and new and they are not too expensive. So im gonna get one and im gonna use it for trail ridding and maybe a little bit of racing so i would appreciate if u guys gave me info on the blaster like speed and maintance needed. Thank u!

 

vowell what mods and did they get good jumps? like torque and bottom end power?? i have a sportman 90 with a CDI what can i put on for good jumps and bottom end power .. i no a pipe would help but a little to expensive now... i was thinking clutch mods and reeds and bigger jets??? would that get me what i want?

 

pit bull. a blaster would be about good for you if you think that you feel ok having a clutch and everything.
a blaster is like 3 times faster then a mini. if you don't want a clutch i would suggest a z250. if your a complete bigginer i would get the z250. i rode for 5 years before i got my blaster.
but do not get a mini there 2 small

 

also max speed isn't everything but if you need to know a blaster is around 55 and the z250 and 250ex are in the 50 range.

 

sportsman rider there is no point of getting bigger jets unless you allow more flow by getting a new exhaust and new airfilter.
by getting bigger jets and going to rich you would decreases the performance.
