does anyone know if the YFZ 450 has reverse?

Nope, no reverse. Would be nice, but at 350lbs, there should be no problem gettin her to turn around!

 

I thought it might be the perfect quad but it's not why wouldn't they put reverse on it?

 

We'll the real question is, why? It is made for racing as you can tell, reverse would require yammy to redesign alot of the engine components, and that would cost money. It's easier using an engine that is allready designed and proven to work well, then to redesign it for something that really makes no dif in yammies eyes, i mean wheres pred reverse??? and does the ex have it??? I think the Z does but i am not sure. It just isn't worth it for yammy to do it, but i know where your comming from and it would be very nice to have it. But like diablo said its a paper wieght just toss her around and go.

Less weight maybe? I dunno. I have reverse on my warrior and barely ever use it. These yz450's are geared more for MX racing, so they don't really need it.

 

A true Sport Quad with no reverse?Hell ya.....Ill take the fewer parts and less weight anyday myself.

For someone who is only a third of a weight of this thing, it is nice to see that Yamaha has taken the big picture into consideration. I can't wait to use the reverse on this one!!!
