I have a HPD race pipe on my Scrambler 400 along with a THE whole race port kit.
THE problem I'm having is that the HPD PIPE Keeps On Cracking I've Tig welded it back but, then it cracked again.AS some would know this is some thing you don't want to take off much because it is a pain in the *** to get the pipe out of the bike and then to put it back on the Flange. ONE MORE THING IS THat the pipe never seemed to fit right on the flange but it did seal.
I WANT THE G-FORCE FTR RACE PIPE !!! I had one once in the past but, I sold the bike.
I KNOW THEY ARE OUT OF Business. CAN ANY ONE HELP!!!
DO ANY OF YOU HAVE THAT PIPE AND WOULD LIKE TO SELL IT??

 

Where is yours cracked at, mine cracked this weekend right where it goes from the big fat part to the narrow pipe going towards the silencer.

 

You need to make sure when you mount the pipe to run safetywire through the mount springs. Especially if you're an aggressive woods/mx rider. Call HPD, they'll hook you up.

are you using the stock header?

 

If you're dead set on switching brands, I'd take a hard look at the CPI race pipe.

My HPD pipe cracked while my son was riding it right in the front curve 10" from the exhaust port on the cylinder. It was 5 degrees outside when this happened. He kept riding and melted the piston. It cracked open in three directions.

 

yes after hpd there is cpi.
