Default TB 250 Knock

I have a 03 TB 250 that knocks at low speed. Does anybody else have this problem? I bumped up to 89 octane this past weekend and it didn't help. Could it be my ignition timing? Any suggetions?

The knock in the 250 is normal. It is not a balanced engine and the knock is piston slap. You will notice it more in the winter.

if u didnt fix it yet, u might have lost some rings on the chain and it will cause knocking. especially if u use wd 40 it will make the chain loose o-rings. check it out

Changed out the spark plug and then road the heck out of it for about 2 minutes to burn off any excess. It cleared it right up. With the oil/gas mixture for the first tank, it must have fowled the plug. I never would have thought it, but it worked. Plus noticed more power.

If you haven't changed out your spark plug, give it a try. Cost $1.79 and under your seat is a wrench to change it with. It's like Polaris knew about the problem and gave us the tools to fix it with ourselves. It worked for me. Just curios if it would fix yours to. let me know. Best $1.79 I ever spent.

i take three plugs every time i go out. my friends used to laugh about that until they fouled a plug and didnt have a back up. it may not be the same noise, but it does give me an excuse to mod.
