I recently installed a K&N air filter on my warrior... I went ahead and ordered an outerwear for it but havent put it on yet as I wanted to enjoy K&N filter with no other interference.

My main question is for people who have used the outerwears before... does it affect the performance at all? If you do think it affects the performance... would you say running the airbox lid on or off has anymore effect on the outwear?

I'm about to rejet the carb and I am still trying to decide between running stock airbox lid, modified lid or no lid at all.

 

Dont worry. You cant even tell its on other than having a cleaner filter.

 

It simply keeps the filter cleaner, especially in the sand

 

Run it with the outerwear. Clean that often and you won't have to clean the K&N very much at all.

 

Like everyone else said, its great to cut down on dirt clogging up your K&N. I run and outerwear filter on my K&N filter for my Raptor and Ford
F150.
