yeah, so i got a new 03 blaster and my tranny locked up on me in first gear " and it wont just pop back out" I'm taking it back to the dealer, but has anybody else experience probelems like this with their blaster? just curious

Me neither, Just wanting to ask a few questions.

1) Were you down shifting real fast when this happened?
2) Does the tranny case have enough oil?

If it is stuck in first gear you could have broken the shift fork!

 

no i wasn't down shifting rapidly at all actually, i went over a small jump in second and then when i landed i slowed the bike and shifted to first. and while i was in first i drove across a mudflat thing at a low speed and when i reached dry land on the other side i went to shift into second and..no go. the tranny case has had plenty of oil from day one.
and how exactly would i break a shift fork? i havn't been rough on it. what exactly is a shift fork, I'm kinda blaster iliderate at the moment.

 

oh and on top of this, it's only 2 and a half weeks old, practically new if you ask me. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]
