Type of Oil for DS 650
#2
You must use a oil for a wet clutch. Regular motor oils have a friction reducer that makes the clutch slip. If you get any motorcycle oil you will be fine. I personally use Valvoline 20W40 motorcycle oil from Atosoze. During the winter I will use a 10W30. A lot of guys here use Honda HP4 oil. I think that is what its called anyway.

I currently have Bombardier Mineral Based 10w40 in my DS. I'm planning an oil change this week...
Should I stick with the Bomb stuff, or get some different stuff...And what viscosity and weight of oil should I get for the summer??
And how expensive are the oils you guys use?
Thanks

I didn't think the bomb oil was mineral based..... But if it's mineral based just stay with that then. I pay about $3 a quart for the Valvoline motorcycle oil. You can get this from autozone or just about any car parts store.

Ya there is only one kind of Castrol GTX. You can use 10-40 for summer if you want but I prefer 20-50 for summer and 10-40 for winter. Just my thing........ Works good and cost is really cheap but I switched to Valvoline Motorcycle oil.
