Chain Lube for Dunes
#2
yeah it will. But you need some lube for that oring chain. the bset thing to do is to run it around the neighborhood and ge tth chain nice and warm, come hoem lube it up reall good, then run it around the neighborhood again. Go back into garage and wipe all excess off the swinger and anywhere esle it got to. If you do thin the night before you go, it seems to attract the least amount of sand. If I forget to do it before I go, I just skip the lube, because lubing it at the dunes is lame.

The DS has an O-ring chain, in my opinion lubrication is not required, but I do soak my chain and then wipe it back off. The lube will attract sand and fling all over the bike if you don't wipe most of it back off.
There are alot of hard miles on my original stock chain.

maxima chain wax is a good choice for the dunes and it doesnt get tossed off as easily as some others and leave a mess to clean up.some form of lubrication is a good idea even for sand riding to help deter rust and corrosion.
