Hey everybody, We will be up at the oregon dunes june 27 till july 3. We will be staying at Spinrell. We will be in the second look, i forgot our spot number, but just look for the 2 yellow DS's. Anybody else gonna be there at that time? Sean

 

planning florence that weekend should be there 2-6

 

I might be there in the day parking. Does anyone know if I will need a permit for the day parking? I have reservations at Horsfalls the next week end. But I would like to go for a ride earlier if I can.

 

Planning on being at Driftwood 2 the 3rd - 5th, it's north of spinreel about 25 minutes. Spinrell is fun but the dunes are small there, it's a good quiet family area, you can ride all the way to Horse falls if you don't get lost. If you are new to the area and don't mind day trips, you should spend a day trying out winchester and the florance area to see what's available. Winchester has great hills and trails if you like the challanges.

DDrecDS, you do need parking permits at most day use areas, if you are camping, your camping slip will also cover all day use areas for the days you are there. If not, one day is $5 or for $30 you can pick up a year long pass.

 

dasandbomb, i know about spinreel, we go there every 4th of july weekend for the last 3 or 4 years. Its the only place my mom will actually go with us when we go to the "sand dunes"(she doesnt like parking in the middle of the desert with no trees) so we go there and she is happy in camp with our dogs and the trees and green grass while we r out on the dunes [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Sean

hey dasandbomb is rory going to be there that weekend?we'll be there with the group from memorial weekend. chris had to take his raptor in for some tranny problems, i guess it is comming back with a new tranny and some 686 kit. should make for some more excitement around camp. i think i should have a race head by then. i found one for a good price then i will have to save for a extended swing arm the front is alreay getting to light. did k-c get the info on the powroll 415 stroked to 440, seems like a awesome kit. well bigslim is looking forward to running with you quad he wants to see how much his mods helped, it ran great at christmas valley so when he gets back to sea level his smile should be big.
