I flipped my quad over and I'm in the process of ordering parts... I like the new look of the new headlight... will it plug in as easily? Also will that headlight trim fit as well?

 

You meen the 04 headlight right?

 

chances are no one knows yet, are they even for sell yet, i'm also looking into that i broke mine a month ago but i have the baja lights on mine so i can still run at night.

 

well i was talkin to my dealer today and i asked him if the 04 would fit, and he said he doesn't know cuz they don't have any in yet, i'm gunna find out as soon as they get one in

 

If anyone gets an answer to that question from a reliable source post it. I believe there are a few of us considering upgrading to the 04 headlight because of the weight reduction. Same thing with the price of it.

 

well mine is broken at the adjustable part at the bottom, so i'm gunna need a new one n e ways, i thought i might as well wait n c if i can put the lighter better one on

 

Just this last weekend I was going over my bike to get it ready for the ATPT nationals and I noticed two small cracks on the mounting tabs at the top of the lens. So I jb welded them hope it last till the new ones come out.

 

I read also that is it lighter and quite possibly brighter than what is out now. I'm still wondering how much lighter could it be. I'm also considering on replacing the upper a-arms or the rear swingarm. Anything to lighten this beast up would be great......

 

The rumor mill has it that the new light is 3 Lbs. and the 'old' style is 6 Lbs. The change is said to be from switching to a plastic light instead of a glass one. We all know there is no 'for sure' answer until someone gets one of these in their hands.

 

Count me in for a new one.

I'm sure if it doesn't mount right up someone will come up with a jig to mount it up . . . or. . . it's chop and weld time!
