Anyone raced either of the new Gas Gas quads with there Ds yet? If so how did you do? I haven't even seen one yet, maybe someone out west can help with this.

 

the last time i was at the dunes i was racing banshees and raptors and one(gas 300) was there but he just sat and watched, he didnt get in the races.. he did not have paddle tires though so he could not of competed.. im sure it could not beat the standard modded DS/Raptor in the drags.. no replacement for displacement.

 

i beat a gas gas by half the hill, on my 720 ds... but they handle great from what i hear

 

I don't think it would even be a race uphill.

 

i've raced a couple, of the 300's but to make it a more real report i'll tell you how the stock ds with a cdi pipe and gears did, it won but it ran well probably about the same as a stock raptor, the two were different and it might have had a lot to do with rider skill, i'm sure i'll see more and more of them at the dunes. and to be honest the first one had like 12 paddle haulers but it was way slow. the second was in the races, it had like 8 paddle. other than that they don't seem to hang out long.

 

Talked to the local GasGas dealer today and he is planning to bring a 300 out to St. Joe Sunday with paddles. I'm looking forward to see how they run.

The Gas Gas cant beat a stock Banshee, so it should be no contest with a DS.
