The drop-in K&N would probably be your best bet if you do some serious mudding. Although the "splash" protection of this machine is pretty good. I just run the slip-on K&N with a water resistant Outerware, and have had no problems at all. You can also pick up a pack of six Univents and install those on the rear face of your airbox. If you do that, and add the WB/ Polaris silencer, you can jet up to a 160, and the smile on your face will grow every time you hit the gas.

Yup. I do with my 99 Sport also. The Predator has really good splash protection with the way the slip-on is tucked away. As long as you use the WR (water resistant) Outerware with it.

Hot Seat also has an airbox set up. I don't know from experience how good or bad. Just a thought

The Hot Seat intake is a nice piece. The RU-1770 slip on was found to be cheapest at Hyper Racing...only $23. You can get the WR 125-6T Outerware straight from Outerwares....MAKE SURE THEY KNOW YOU WANT THE WR. Hyper said they did, but sent the wrong one.....you still can't beat their K&N price though. Actually for the silencer/pipe. Polaris found the stock head-pipe was great at flowing, that's why they only offer the slip-on silencer. It's made by White Bros, and flows great, but also can be setup to keep the noise down. If you go with both of those mods, you'll probably need the170 main, and #50 pilot jets.
