Parts for a '81-'82 Honda 185S

Anyone know a good place to find aftermarket parts for these? Anyone ever modify one in any way? I took a sledgehammer at the muffler and it made it sound pretty cool, but that's about it.

Got an '82 185s. You just can't kill this thing. Had it underwater numerous times. Is the muffler on yours insanely low to the ground like mine?? Can't believe this thing functions the way it does when the muffler is underwater at times! As for parts-good luck. This is a somewhat rare machine...I always see a lot more 250r's and 110's for this year for sale or parts. Good thing is that this is almost identical to the 200 of th esame and previous year. The only different engine-wise is the cc's (185 has 187cc, the 200 has 192 cc, or something close to that) It's a very simple machine to wrench on...The fact it is so light has iyt's advantages too. You don't go through the mud, as much as you go over the mud. I have put better handlebars on mine-The stock were too small. Go through bearings and seals quicker too because no suspension. They are out there...I know a guy who's had one stored for 15 years. He won't ride it or anything-scared of it. It's mint. Try to get lucky and find one like that...

I have been successful getting parts for1982 185S from Royal Distributing in Guelph 1-800-265-2970 and Snow City Cycle in Scarborough 416-752-1560. Otherwise stealing parts from a 200. Except for the cylinder size everything else seems to fit.

Got to bikebandit.com, select what year and make, and it will have from the smalllest washer to the gas tank. They discontinued the seat for an 82 185s. But the have alot of parts. Also got to http://www.slickssalvage.com call em up and they will look for parts for your bike. I got a lot of good parts from slicks, and then in google (or any other goodsearch engine)
look for people parting out old 185s. And another place to get good stock parts and stuff is good ole ebay.com
Hope this helps.
And for aftermarket theres tons if you look hard.

I couldn't get the bolt loosened up on the end cap so I took the sledgehammer and drove it and the spark arrestor or whatever was inside it out. The muffler is pretty beat up near the end, but oh well. It is quite loud but it does go a little faster than my other 185S, but I'm not sure that has much to do with it. It's illegal to ride with a spark arrestor around here so I don't take it on any trails.
