Ok all....
I know a lot of you are on here quite often. And I have seen some of your stuff. Most of it's really nice. HAT's off to ya for spending the dough and working on your DSs.....
BUT, I have almost got mine where I want it...
There's only a few things missing at this point, and they're on order (Works fronts w/reservoirs, 17/37 sprockets, PRM full underbelly skidplate...etc)
Here's my braggin' rights. My DS "built for Baja!"
Show me what you got!!!!
Send me the links... I'd like to look at your ideas too!!

Jeff,
Pretty impressive!
That thing must be huge!! Being so long and wide already.
Do you care to throw out a number ($$) that it cost you to do the work???
And how much of it was done by you??
Nice ride!
Ever thought of changing the color or ...?

Johnny that's super sweet man, so come on - where's the airbox from? You make it, or did you buy it? If you bought it, from where? I gots to have one just like it man, its awesome. What about decals and seat cover - its not listed on Alba's site - you got connections or something?
Jeff - your bikes are supersweet too, always have admired them.
Jetcock - I'm pretty sure those are the Ohtsu radials, super traction but crappy puncture resistance, mine are full of tire plugs!

Jeff, man you have class. That is the most tastefully done DS I think I have seen. Love the yellow frame! I gotta do that. I take it the battery is under the seat...
Never mind.. I see it.

Jet and High...
The Airbox is from PPD Racing. (about $200)
They have a website... I founf it on Google I think. You have to call them to have'em make the airbox. He doesn't always stock it. It's awesome... fit and finish are top notch. The only issue is you need to cut the stock mount off the bike. Otherwise it's fugly!! And to cut it off clean you need a die grinder and something to smooth it down like a pneumatic DA (body shop style sander). Or lots of elbow grease.
The tires are stock. Not sure what they are... but I know they'll be replaced real soon with ITPs.... I ride Mex a lot (on 2 wheels) and the Bomb and I will be putting about 500 miles on it in 2 days. Plus there is about 50 miles on asphalt. I'll go through a set about every two trips.
The graphics and seat cover are from Alba... You have to look for the kit. Meaning... I've given you a hint, and now you have to do the footwork. I don't really know anyone there, so it's not custom. But I do know the owner of CEET who makes them. It still didn't help me get THAT kit. Alba does sell it. It's quite costly! But I also get a cost plus 30% from Alba... so it sweetens the deal considerably.
Thanks for the compliments... I think it made the Bomb look more like a quad. Stock rear fenders uncut make the bike look short. Like the swingarm is too short or something. Plus those heal guards!!! Man... next they'll add training wheels!!
