While changing the mechanical water pump seal in my 700 I noticed the new part that I purchased
has a hard clear plastic cover on it while the one from my machine has no such cover. Is this
a revision to the part or some kind of shipping piece that I need to pull off. Any help with
this would be much appreciated.

 

Polaris has a free pump cover update at any Polaris dealer, my new cover is black.

 

are we talking mechanical seal or water pump cover i lost both
