So I just wanted to post and say my cannon is great after 1.2 yrs. of weekly riding. Just got the valves adjusted by RS Performance a month ago. I ride in all conditions "I try to stay out of mud" and there isn't any sand around here. Anyway just wanted to post and say this was a very good buy!!
P.S. for any rap or pred or z400 owners out there that read this. IF YOU DO THE MAINTINANCE THESE MACHINES WILL MAKE IT UP TO YOU IN RELIABILITY AND RIDEABLITY!!!

Welcome back man! I'm glad all that riding has had you too busy to post!
I'll add that i rode my first generation Cannon every week for 1 year, 260 hours, with only maintenance issues. Deep Water, mud, sand, MX, CC. I had fewer problems than my Warrior and Blaster. She handled it all without a hiccup. She finally blasted a crank bearing due to a known issue with the FIRST motors, but i've got her going again and don't expect to EVER SELL. Cannondale may be out of business, but the parts do all exist. One shop now has the ability to repair crankshafts and that was our only hold up to long term viability. If the known issues are fixed, $150, then a cannon will give years of service. The community of enthusast riders built up around this machine is awesome!!
I'm now shopping for a Cannon 2 wheeler, just for fun!

Wish I could be there but I'm cashless right now. I haven't worked for the past 2 months and am working on joining the Navy. I know I know, won't have time to ride anymore oh well. The dale isn't going anywhere and I'm deffinetly going to try to get sick of riding it before I leave for basic. Already getting close I've been riding 2-3 times a week "ALOT OF FREAKIN OIL" and what really sucks is I've got to drive 45 min. one way to ride. That is the closest place and it is a ORV park with about 800 acres.
Anyway I'm sick of typing and thinking. Later hope you have fun at little S. Someday I will make it down there it's about a 6-7 hr. drive from here I Think. See there I go thinking again. Later
