I was inspecting my bike the other day and noticed that around the top of the steering stem where the top plate welds on the coating was chiping like it has either been flexing at the weld or worse is cracking. I have the alba riser and renthal bars and with the higher bars im sure the increased leverage is putting more stress in that area than stock. Has anyone else experienced this problem and what did you do about it?

 

make sure its not just paint coming off... actually look for a crack
