Don't worry, you'll get it. My son is 12, and has been riding a 300ex for almost 2 years. At first, he killed it almost every time he tried to get rolling, to help, I turned up the idle, so it gets rolling easier at first when you let out the clutch. Just keep practicing, and you'll do fine, my son rides like a racer now, pulls wheelies over whoops in the trail, slides, no problem. Don't give up, it can get frustrating, 2 strokes are a little touchier, so I can see why you had problems with the Blaster.

Dude it just takes a little practice to get it. When you take off, just let the clutch out slowly. while you are doing that, listen to the engine and apply throttle as needed. Sometimes you may not need throttle sometimes you may need more - depending on the predicament you are in. The way i did it when i first started was to let out the clutch SLOWLY while giving it a SLIGHT touch of throttle. I mean barely touch it. If it dies on you, start it back up and try again. After awhile, you learn what the engine is doing by how it sounds. Don't over rev it and dont ride the clutch. On something like a banshee, it requires more clutch work than most bikes- but you are no where near a banshee yet! Master that warrior for a few years before you even look at a banshee.
I can say this because me and my family have owned many, many different bikes - another thing about Yamahas is that their clutches tend to be stiffer that the rest; so if you got like a 300ex or something, the clutch pull would be easier for you. Something else that may help you when you are not riding- is to get some of those hand exercise things that you squeeze - you ever seen those? ( Its like 2 grips with a circle spring thing in the middle) This will build up hand strength pretty quick and help you do the clutch better and hang on better!
Do this, be careful and practice clutching AWAY from everybody. Not real good to learn clutching while in the middle of chaos! Go in an empty feild or somewhere and just practice, you'll get it. NOT IN THE STREET, THOUGH. Once you do get it, its hard to even ride a bike without it!

Maybe this will help Go here
Let the clutch out easy and give it throttle the same amount as you let out the clutch......
As you're letting out the clutch with your left hand almost match the movement with your thumb on the throttle

You should do better on a warrior or 400 EX because four stroke clutches are alot easier and shouldn't stall that easy if you start in 1st. i wouldnt have sold a Blaster for a polaris trailblazer even if i couldnt get it into gear. The Blaster is probably faster than a 300 ex but you are looking for bigger and better things.

on a four stroke it is .almost impossible to stall. i can let my clutch out without even touching the gas if im on flat pavement. just keep trying and eventually you will become a pro.
