Default Need help with suspension on my Raptor

I'm constantly comparing my DS650 to my Raptor. More I ride the Raptor the more I'm appriciating the DS.

My biggest gripe with the Raptor is it's suspension. IS there any recommended setting for jumping this thing? I bought my Raptor used and I decided to stiffen the spring in the rear. I think the front have one more setting to be at stiffest. Today was my first day riding it at a track and on some bigger jumps I took I noticed I landed and on the rebound of the landing I would like bounce up a bit. Almost as it wants to buck me off. I see guys jumping higher than me handling it much better than I was.

Reduce the rebound setting.

Buy a 250EX-best suspension on the planet.

Which is the rebound? I have an 01 model. Is it on the resivior or on the bottom of the shock itself? Im asssuming to make it rise slower...

The screw on the rezzie is for compression, the screw on the bottom of the shock is rebound. Turn it clockwise a click or two, then try the jump again.

If you have the preload set that high, you may not be using all of your travel either, and hence not getting the softest landing possible. I would back your preload down until you can just barely feel the shock bottom out on the biggest jump, then tweak the rebound until it doesn't want to buck you off.

Adjusting the preload directly affects the compression and rebound settings, so you can just keep going around in circles if you don't expect that to happen.

Good luck
