I have a question about jetting for a stock Blaster after I put my FMF fatty pipe and Powercore II Silencer on it. What did you people bump the main jet size up to for max performance. Also did you have to mess with the needle possition. Thanks a lot

Well I put in 260 in my Blaster and Banshee and it works great.
Do you know anyboby looking to buy a set of FMF pipe and Silencer they are brand new only been ran 3 times and they are for a 94 blaster and I can make it a kit and that would include the pipe and silencer and reed spacer and two set of Boyesen pro series reeds and a set of hand guards and a PRM Standard Grab Bar

My brother just got his back from the shop where he had the topend rebuilt...oil injector quit. Anyway, he has the FMF pipe and silencer with a 240 jet and the guy that rebuilt it said that was way too lean. He suggested a 280.

The best advice I can give is do a plug check because there are so many variables. I don't think you can say everybody use 2xx jet as a standard. I know guys that are running 240 jets just fine, but the 240 in my brother's is way too lean. I bought a 260 today that we will try this afternoon.

280 is not out of the question. Tried the 260 yesterday...still a little lean. Going with the 280 today.

My son has a 99 Blaster and I want to give it more of a "2-Stroke Ping" sound like my Banshee that has Paul Turner Pipes on it. It is too "wimpy" sounding with the stockers.

Do I need to install both the FMF Pipe and Silencer to achieve this, or would the Silencer alone help?

If I do put a FMF Pipe/Silencer combo on, does it sound like a Banshee with Aftermarket Pipes? Or does it still sound like a stock Blaster?

Are there any other modifications I would need to make (except jet change) such as airbox, needles, etc.? if I out the Combo on?

I have a 280 in mine with just the snorkel removed and it runs great.

Yes if you put on the pipe and silencer it will sound like a real 2 stroke is suppose to sound. ping-ta-ta-ta-ta Sounds so sweet!

I recommend removing the snorkel to allow better air flow as does FMF. My needle stayed the same. Add some aftermarket reeds also, best $23 mod there is.
