I have a 300ex for a play around bike...I was just wondering. Someone in another thread said that a 250x is faster than a 300ex. I dont know too much about a 250x, i know that they have kickstarts and thats about it. I, though find it hard to believe that a 250x can beat a 300ex??

what is a 250x a 3-wheeler? and a 195cc 2 stroke that is piped can stomp a 300 ex so what is so hard to believe?

 

250x is a 4 stroke 4 wheeler.

 

the only way 195cc 2 stroke with pipes could stomp a 300ex is if the is if the 300ex flipped

The 250x's were real popular around here in the mid 80's and they quit making them, I think in the 80's. A lot of guys still bought them up until the mid 90's down here and they are pretty quick. They are a lot faster than a 250ex in my opinion. Also quite a bit lighter than a 300ex but I've never seen them race. My cousin has a 250x ported and polished and bored over to about a 330 and it will hang pretty close to my suzuki z400. So he would beat a 300ex but I know that's not the question. He said when it was stock he could beat a 300ex about 50% of the time. So I guess according to him there about even.
