Default Is it really fair? 450 vs anything stock

I was wondering what everyone else thought. Is it really fair to compare stock vs 450 stock?

The 450 comes with Ti Valves, 12:1, and an FCR carb. It already has the best stuff on it.

Any guess on the max hp the 450 will put out with pipe and head work?

i could be wrong, but i'm doubting that the 450 is going to blow everything off the face of the earth.

i'd say the banshee's, v-forces, raptors, and predators will stay pretty close to them.

I'd guess without adding more cubes or going to alcohol that the 450's ceiling is about 50RWHP. As you stated, it's already in a high state of tune from the factory. I doubt porting or cams will do much to improve it's performance.

sure, it will be faster, but when it comes time to back up..... better get to pushing

my point is, the 450 is a different type of bike then the Raptor, Shee etc, shouldn't really compare them
From what I have read here, the 450 has a stiff, race bike type ride, I don't want that.

apples/oranges

and I am in NO way knocking the 450, hell, I think it is just what the ATV scene needs!

Well to awnser your question there is still a faster Stock bike and that is the Cannondale. I ran 2 or 3 different Stock 450's and beat them all by 3-4 quad lenths. But the 450's with pipes and some head work that i raced were fast I only beat them twice out of 6 times....

I would say comparing it to a pred. would be fair.
