Tired of buying friggin batteries!!!
#1
I have bought 3 batteries in the last year for my DS. I have tried dealer batteries and Walmart el-cheapos. The last one was a dealer battery and its not taking charge now. Anyone find one that hold up the riding conditions? And the no warratny BS on Bomb batteries is a load of crap. Dealer wont replace it and its only 4 months old. Thing cost like $120+!! I'm pissed. Anyone want a nice 02 Baja without a battery. Its cheap.

Something is awry with your electrical. I've had the stock battery for 3 years, no charger, no problems.
Oops I might have to buy a new one now..

I haven't had any problems with the battery in my '02 Bomber, but DDrecDS has a good point. Putting your battery on a tender over the winter will make the battery last longer. Over a period of time, static discharge will occur and your battery will drain down to nothing. The longer it stays in a state of discharge, the less likely that it will accept a charge.
I don't know why you would have such terrible luck with batteries, but I can probably point you in the right direction in getting warranty coverage. You need to contact the manufacturer of the battery. It is a shame that your dealer won't take care if this for you, but you should still be able to obtain a replacement from the manufacturer. Yuasa makes a good battery, and they have a 6 month warranty. Interstate Battery also has a good product, but their warranty is pro-rated if I remember correctly. Normal battery life is 1-2 years on these applications, but it depends on how you maintain it. It is not unusual to see one last 2-4 years. I hope this helps.

See thats the problem. I keep a tender on it. I thought maybe I was over charging it. So I didnt use it on the last one and it still is crap. Its not like I let the bike set. From when I rode the bike till I came back to it was 2 days. In that period its dead. I cant find an open circuit. I dont how or why they are doing this. Its like they get a dead cell.
