going to look at at a 2002 yamaha Raptor LE, custom Paint, GYTR pipe ,grab bar, nerfs,skids,front bumper only 20-25 hrs,custom paint has metallic sumtin in it or w.e.. been garage stored with tarp over. red lines still on tires. he wants 5000 is it worth it? any thing i need to watch out for?heres a pic, not the greatest.. 2002 Raptor Le need to know asap

 

you could probably get a new 04 for 500 more....I don't think it's worth 5K...maybe 4500 at most....

 

Sounds like a decent price to me with all that stuff. But nobody expects to get asking price.. work your way up to $4500.. I wouldnt leave without a title either.

 

I think it is a good deal with all the extras stuff i would buy it.

 

I wouldn't sell mine for that but I'm in California.

 

Be very very careful with that site. I almost got screwed with a Raptor before. Only reason I didnt get it is because I have no patients and had to get one the day after I sold my Grizzly. The one I was looking at was about 15 minutes from me in Gates Mills, Ohio. It was a 2003 LE and he was asking only $3400. The guy gave me the run around for about a week and wouldnt tell me why he was selling it so cheap so I bought a different one. Well two days later I went on the site to see if his was still up there he change his location to Huston Texas. Be careful and go look at it first.

 

raptors are not good, my quad would smoke it big time, they only have 66cc dont they? My quad would smoke that!

 

You aren't considering a purchase without looking at it in person are you?? I don't understand why someone would paint a brand new quad, be careful and look at everything with a microscope.

Warrior007 has an excellent point about the title, you don't want to help a quad thief.

For less than an extra grand, you can go down to the dealership and get a brand new one with the same upgrades. If you ever decide to sell it, those 2 years might make a big difference once it's got a few more hours on it.

 

jose- the raptor is a 660cc your 250 has no chance unless its a lt250r then it might keep up, i AM going to go look at it tomorrow morning the guy wants to buy a camper and dont ride it much only 25 hrs TOPS and w/ithall the gyrt stuff and all stock stuff to. so i think its worth it, going to try to get him to jew a lil i think he will.. so 2morrow may have a Raptor
