Could you take the airbox lid off for just one run?

Default Could you take the airbox lid off for just one run?

Wondering if there would be any power increase without damaging the motor if you took off the airbox lid for just one run (drag)?

No, it wouldn't damage it, it's just that the filter does not seal very well with the lid on, let alone with the lid off. If I were you I would get a pro-flow with K&N.

Your filter will not stay in its place but you can drill a hole on top and install a bolt through the air filer and the airbox to hold it in there. When you remove your lid you have to jet up unless you fat already

just cut the lid in half behind the second clips (or first set of clips for that matter).. the lids only $12..


You can always put the back half back on
